How Does it Work

At the kick-off party in February, the total group of members (typically around 120-140) is divided into smaller groups of 12 up to 14 people each. These smaller groups meet for five dinners over the course of the year, which comes down to about once every two months. The host decides on the menu and everyone brings a dish. Not everybody has to host and you can also team up with another group member to host.

We are celebrating our 16th annual Inman Diners kick-off event on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2023 at 7:00pm at the Mebius' home at 860 Euclid Avenue. Please register to join.

Carjacking on Friday, October 14

IPNA Public Safety was made aware of a carjacking around 6 am on Friday, October 14.  This occurred in the area of 240 Highland Avenue.  The victim was a woman who was accosted at gunpoint by four men.  She was not harmed but the suspects fled in her vehicle.

Since learning of this we have been working to obtain information from APD zone 6 via our IPNA Security Patrol coordinator, Sgt. Soukup.  What we know at this point is that the vehicle was found in Clayton County and is being processed by APD zone 6 for fingerprints, etc.  We also know there is an APD camera in the vicinity and investigators have been reviewing the footage.

We will continue to stay abreast of developments in this case and will report on anything of significance. We should have both IPNA security patrol and APD zone 6 officers at this week's IPNA meeting to answer any questions.

Vehicle break-ins/damage in Inman Park

As per Tom Soukoup with the Atlanta Police Department, on Friday October 7, between 4 and 5 am, numerous Inman Park residents had their vehicles broken into with windows smashed. The perpetrators were obviously looking for something of value but were breaking into vehicles without anything being visible.  Reports were filed by victims and some camera footage has been provided to the investigation unit.

APD zone 6 has committed to adding additional patrols in Inman Park immediately. IPNA Public Safety will continue to get updates on the investigation and will report on anything of significance.

If you have any information that might help in the investigation, such as camera footage, please send to the investigator, Officer Towns, at this email: [email protected]
