VP of Security: Tom Baldwin

Hello Inman Park Neighbors.  I am honored to have been nominated for the position of VP of Public Safety.  Inman Park has been my home for over 23 years, living the entire time on Waddell St.  I am excited about contributing once again to this neighborhood I love.  I've been active in the past with Festival (I was "Beer General" years ago) and I've also been active with outreach efforts at our neighborhood church, Inman Park United Methodist. This is my first time serving IPNA as a board member and Public Safety is the one I've had in mind should the time be right and the opportunity there.  It looks like that time is now.  I might even pull in my college age kids (22 and 20) to help out from time to time.  I look forward to serving this great neighborhood.

Treasurer: Dahshi Marshall

Although a Midwest native, Dahshi Marshall has lived in Atlanta for more than 20 years and considers himself a proud Atlantan.  Dahshi and his wife Sandra have been Inman Park residents for the past 9 years, where they live with their young daughter.  Given his background in finance and his outgoing personality, Dahshi currently works in financial services and retirement planning.  When Dahshi is not working, you can find him enjoying one of our neighborhood parks with his family or yelling from the stands at Atlanta United matches. 

Along with his commitment to his family and his business, Dahshi has a strong affinity for Atlanta and Inman Park and is passionate about serving his community.

Secretary: Alex Ganim 

Alex and her husband Chris moved to Atlanta from DC in 2014 for Alex to continue her career in Public Health at US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. They fell in love with Inman Park and felt fortunate to become homeowners in the community in early 2015. Since 2015 they have grown their small homestead with two tiny humans, two cats, a brood of hens, and more plants than can be counted. Alex volunteered with IPNA to serve as a more active community member and to become more familiar with the rich and quirky history of Inman Park and its residents. 

VP of Communications: Melissa Lawrence

Hi everyone! My name is Melissa Lawrence, and I will be the new Communications Chair. I want to get involved because, well, I love Inman Park. When the pandemic hit, just like for everyone else, it was a tough time for our family. One bright spot in an otherwise difficult year was getting to know our neighbors. What started as a nightly show of appreciation for our healthcare providers by banging pots and pans quickly became a nightly hangout filled with games, costumes, cocktails, and camaraderie.  It affirmed how much I love our neighborhood and want to be involved in making Inman as amazing for other people as it has been for me. I live on Virgil Street with my husband, Adrian, and our children Katherine and Anderson. I'm excited to get to know more of my neighbors and help the neighborhood in any way that I can.

VP of Historic Preservation: Alexander P. Hoke

Am I a half native?  I’ve lived in Inman Park for half my life!  I moved to Waverly Way in 1985, and then to my current home in the Iron Workers’ Union Local building on Edgewood Avenue in 1997.  I’m currently a member of the Lifelong Inman Park, Springvale Park and Festival committees.  I thought I was a member of the Traffic committee, but it appears that my membership on that committee may have lapsed.  I may still be a member of the Sidewalk committee.  And maybe something else…  Over the course of the years I’ve served 3 years as IPNA President, 3 years as VP of Planning, 2 years as VP of Zoning and a portion of one year as Secretary.  I’m a native New Englander and I have two children who are alumni of the Inman Park Cooperative Preschool.  This is a wonderful community which I’m happy to serve!
