COVID-19 Contingency Plans

At our IPNA Board meeting on Tuesday, we put into place the following COVID-19 contingency plans:

1)     Next week's IPNA meeting on Wednesday, March 18, will be streamed on Facebook Live. Please join us virtually if you are ill, have been around anyone who is ill, or have decided to forego attending public events at this time. Watch for further instructions on how to join us online if you so choose. The board has decided that although our bylaws do not permit absentee voting, we will make an exception in the interest of helping prevent the spread of the virus. For the March 18 meeting, the following absentee voting rules will be in place:

  • Members may vote on Facebook by entering their "yes" or "no" votes in the comments section. Members may also choose to vote by email. Those choosing the email option should send their votes to [email protected]. The time window for voting by comment or by email will be extended to 24 to hours after the meeting is adjourned.

2)    At this time the plan is to continue with our regular in-person meeting along with the streaming format for the March 18 meeting, but these plans may change. If necessary, we will not hold the regular in-person meeting as usual but will switch to a solely virtual meeting format so that the membership will not attend but may watch from home. In this case, we will follow the same voting procedures described above.

Thank you for pulling together to help IPNA prevent the spread of the virus! Please stay tuned for further updates from IPNA.
