Tour of Homes Tickets April 28–30

What do the numbers 25-35-40-12-4 mean to you? Winning lottery numbers? Numbers to a combination lock? A little of both! You’ll think you won the lottery when you purchase Tour of Homes tickets at the amazing neighbor price of $25! It’s a well-kept secret. Knowing where you can make the purchase unlocks the winning combination.

There are always three pricing options for Tour of Homes tickets. And it’s not too early to make your plans. The best day for neighbors to tour is Friday, April 28, as streets are open and the houses are not as crowded. It’s easy to park if you’re driving. Plus, you can visit with homeowners and get design or color tips at the start of our legendary 51st Festival. Your Tour ticket is good all three days of Festival.

Inman Park Festival and WRFG - Segment 1 - LISTEN NOW!

Hello neighbors,
In partnership with WRFG, Inman Park Festival has begun a monthly interview series focusing on the history of Festival and Inman Park.
In this first segment, longtime neighbor Cathy Bradshaw (Hurt Street) discusses the rise and fall and rise of Inman Park and how banks not giving loans to homeowners led to the very first Festival in 1972.  Do you know the home where the first meeting took place?
We hope you enjoy listening as much as we enjoyed creating!
If you have ideas for future segments or would like to hear more about a topic discussed in this segment, please let us know.
A great big THANK YOU to WRFG, Station Manager Aisha Hardimon, Board Chair Kathleen Cooley, and neighbor Anna McEntee for making this happen!

Calling All Golf Carts

Calling all golf carts!!

It's time more neighbors got involved in Atlanta's zaniest and most colorful parade. If a float seems like too much to manage this late in the game (apathetic chicken), think about competing in the Neighborhood Golf Cart Contest! Flowers - butterflies - balloons - streamers - skeletons? Anything goes! Just gussy up that golf buggy and give it a whirl!

In addition to the sheer fame and glory of simply being in the Parade, you could win an AMAZING blue ribbon to pass on to your grandchildren.

Email [email protected] to register and for more information.  (You gotta register!)

Festival Street Closings

Please pay close attention to the street closing and remove your cars from the streets prior to the closing in order to avoid being towed.

Closed Friday, Saturday, Sunday:

2017 Festival Artwork Winner

2017 Festival Artwork Winner

The artwork for the 2017 Inman Park Festival and Tour of Homes has been selected, and the designer is Mindy Phan. She’s a native of Saigon, Vietnam, and has been an Atlanta resident for about 12 years. Mindy is a graphic designer, and encouraged by her friends to showcase her art more publicly, she entered our Festival design contest. She’s been passionate about drawing since she was “a little kid”, but really started to advance her skills when she was accepted into a graphic design program in college. She loves to hike, and says that exploring different places and learning their histories broadens her horizons. When asked for a fun fact about herself to share, she responded, “I have a never-ending love for food!”

Mindy’s inspiration was the artwork on the BeltLine and within Inman Park, and since her discovery of the neighborhood occurred while she was on her bicycle, she used that as the central theme of her design, with the background butterflies symbolizing the rebirth of the neighborhood.
