Homeowner: Steve and Jeannie Cutts
Steve and Jeannie Cutts moved from Toronto seven years ago and settled in Peachtree City. After their youngest son left for college, they were ready to return to city living and purchased their 1908 foursquare Craftsman-style home in Inman Park. When Steve and Jeannie first entered the house, they fell in love with the spaciousness created by the size of the rooms and the high ceilings. They also were taken with the fireplaces, seven in all.

Upstairs, the guest room gives an indication of the size and style of the four bedrooms that were originally on the second floor of the house. Working with designer Belinda Sosa, architect Randy Pimsler, and the construction firm Wood Logic, Steve and Jeannie expanded a former home office into a beautiful master bedroom and bath that literally floats in the treetops. Luckily, they discovered a window and door in the basement of the house that allowed them to maintain the original architectural style of the home in the new renovation.
Downstairs, the Cutts have created a large open kitchen by removing a butler's pantry and the stairs to the basement. What is now the dining room was originally the parlor. The previous dining room has been converted into a functional and visually pleasing family room.
As you exit onto the deck, notice the covered off street parking - a luxury in Inman Park. The basement provides space for a wood shop where Steve can enjoy his hobby. In the backyard, Jeannie and Steve gave up the futile battle to grow grass and instead added shade-loving ground cover and numerous shrubs around a small pond. The overall effect is a quiet piece of nature right outside their door.
