Dear Inman Park Resident/Business

It is time to make your annual commitment to public safety in Inman Park by renewing/ becoming a member of the Inman Park Security Patrol. As a member of the Security Patrol you play a crucial role in making our neighborhood safer.

With your help, the Public Safety Committee is implementing a number of new projects to improve public safety in the neighborhood. Thanks to your membership renewals, the Public Safety Committee was able to purchase an Inman Park Patrol car which has been patrolling the streets. We all benefit from having off-duty Atlanta Police officers as our security patrol officers. Their mere presence helps to deter crime. In addition, they have confronted many potential criminals and have actually arrested a number of perpetrators while on duty.

The Public Safety Committee recently started an incentive program which clearly defines the benefits of your membership. There are now three levels of membership for you to choose from as described below:

NOTE: The main distinguishing aspect of Bronze, Silver, and Gold level membership is access to the patrol officer.

BRONZE LEVEL: $200

1. The Inman Park Patrol car is staffed with uniformed off-duty Atlanta Police officers. We would like
   to expand the services, patrol hours, and the potential ability to track patrol routes via GPS.
2. Increase volunteer Court Watch and interaction with City officials, with a goal being to ensure that
   criminals acting, and arrested, in our neighborhood are punished to the full extent of the law.
3. Graffiti Removal (“Off the Wall”) and Traffic Calming Committees (volunteers also) have been
   established.
4. Easier methods for payment of Security Plan membership fees. This will possibly be some form of e-commerce such as the ability to pay via credit card with your applications at: www.inmanpark.org.

SILVER LEVEL (includes all the Bronze level features plus): $250

1. Vacation patrol – by notifying the patrol of your vacation plans, the officers would take special note of any suspicious activity at a member’s residence or business.
2. Assistance from patrol if a member is unable to drive or needs an escort from street to residence.

GOLD LEVEL (includes all the Bronze and Silver Level features plus): $300

1. Members will have access to a cell phone number to reach the patrolling officer in case of emergency.
2. We also are considering the possibility for this number to be one of the numbers called when a security
   monitoring company receives an alarm from a member’s residence or business. This could greatly reduce response time to crime incidents that trigger an alarm.
