Safety Rules
- Swimming without a lifeguard is at your own risk.
- Do not disturb the lifeguards while they are on duty.
- Obey the lifeguards. Problems should be brought to the attention of the
head lifeguard and/or pool manager.
- No running allowed in the pool area. No rowdy or unruly behavior.
- Please respect IPPA property and equipment, and property of members and
guests.
- Glass containers are not allowed anywhere on pool property.
- Food must be kept in the picnic area, per Fulton County Health Department
regulations.
- The pool staff is authorized to restrict or ban the use of flotation devices
and toys.
- In general, inflatable arm bands and small tubes for individual use can
be used in the general swim area and children's area. No such devices are
allowed in the designated lap lanes. For safety reasons, large rafts, oversized
tubes and high powered water guns are not permitted. On crowded days, the
lifeguards may have to restrict all such devices.
- Babies and young children who are not toilet trained MUST wear water tight
protective plastic pants at all times. NO DIAPERS ALLOWED IN THE POOLS OR
POOL AREA. This is required by health codes. Use of plastic swim pants helps
to prevent the spread of potentially dangerous disease. Furthermore, it prevents
costly damage to the pool -- the crystals in disposable diapers can clog the
pool pump, resulting in thousands of dollars in damages. This rule will be
strictly enforced. If you are bringing a guest with a baby or toddler, please
advise them of this rule.
- No pets in the pool or pool area.
- No bicycles, tricycles or wheeled toys in the pool area. If you ride your
bicycle to the pool, keep it in the bike rack. Strollers should be kept in
the upper deck area and should not be used as toys by children.
- Bathing suits must be worn. No cut-off jeans in the pool.
- One lane will be reserved for lap swim at all times.
- All lap swimming is circular swimming.
Access Rules/Guest Policy
- Access is allowed during pool hours only. Members should sign in their
guests at the Pool House.
- Members are required to bring membership cards and ID, which may be periodically
checked. Please do not be offended if you are asked to show your card and/or
ID. Access to the pool facility must be controlled in order to stay in compliance
with health, safety and insurance requirements.
- Guest Policy: Each member household shall be allowed to bring up to 10 guests
during the season. The pool manager will be responsible for tracking the number
of guests brought by each member. Any visitors over the 10 allowed will be
admitted at a cost of $5 each.
- Parties/Large Groups of Guests: A party is a group of 6 guest or 10 or more
members or non-members. Detailed policies and procedures are located at the
party page [LINK] on this web site. Please remember that hosing a party is
privilege of membership and that the rules are designed to ensure the safety,
enjoyment, and comfort of everyone at the pool.
- Babysitter Passes: Members who hire a babysitter to care for their children
can register the babysitter IN WRITING with the IPPA board and staff for access
to the pool. The babysitter must sign in at the entrance with the members'
number and is only allowed access when accompanying the members' child(ren).
Babysitters may be asked to show identification. Only babysitters registered
in writing will be permitted access.
- Admittance of Older Children: Children under the age of 12 and non-swimmers
are not allowed in the pool area unless accompanied by an adult. Older children
who visit the pool area are required to sign in. IPPA staff reserves the right
to remove from the pool, and to suspend access privileges from, any older
children who fail to comply with pool rules. Older Children and teens ages
13 - 18 are allowed to bring only one guest unless accompanied by an adult.
- Guests may be restricted on crowded days
Parking
- Parking near the pool is limited. Please carpool, walk or bike whenever
possible. This pool is zoned a community pool and is designed for maximum
neighborhood and pedestrian access.
- Parking spaces at the pool entrance are for handicapped persons and emergency
access only. This will be enforced. You may load and unload at the pool entrance,
before parking, but do not park in the spaces next to the pool. Do not leave
children unattended at the drop off.
- When parking on neighborhood streets near the pool, please be respectful
of the residents whose homes you are parking in front of. Some area residents
do not have off street parking and must park on the street. Please respect
their needs.

Unauthorized vehicles will be towed.
